Hage, Dawn

She is a trumpeter, music director and clinician who took her musical studies at the University of Alberta and Northwestern University.

In her career as a trumpeter she has been a member of the Alberta Baroque Orchestra, the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra, the Edmonton Wind Ensemble, Netherlands Chamber Orchestra and Old Strathcona Town Band.

She has been a busy performer in British Columbia as Principal Trumpet of the Salt Spring Brass Quintet and the Sooke Philharmonic.  She is also taken part in the Campers’ Chamber Music Festival and is the music director of the Salt Spring Concert Band in British Columbia.

Appearing on several recordings she has performed on Prairie Brass by Roger Deegan, Snake Fence Country by the Edmonton Wind Ensemble and Book of Hate by Kathleen Yearwood.

In the field of musical education she is a clinician and trumpet instructor on Vancouver Islands and Salt Springs and has been a teacher at her own studio as well as Acoustic Plant and Alberta College.
