Hale, Willard

Bluegrass guitarist born in Somerset, Kentucky, who travelled to Cincinnati, Ohio, where he enjoyed moderate success in the 1950s by playing rock and roll with fellow bluegrass artist Rusty York.  They stayed true to their roots on the 1959 release Banjo in the Hills, to which they contributed three tracks, including “Banjo Breakdown”.
