Hammond, Chrissie (1956-Present)

She is a singer who joined up with the singers Graham Russell and Russell Hitchcock and helped form the band Air Supply in 1976.

She left the band before their first Australian hit and went on to form Cheetah which toured with U2, Jackson Browne, Gary Moore and Neil Young.  They disbanded in 1987.

She has recorded in the region of 12 albums with Rick Wakeman as his lead vocalist, and in 2006 reformed Cheetah for a performance in Countdown Spectacular which led to a tour of Europe.

Here she is with her sister in Cheetah on their “Bang, Bang”.  She’s the dark haired one…
