Henderson, Eugene “Geno”

He is a guitarist and actor born in Los Angeles who started to perform on guitar when he was just nine.   He got himself a gig with D.J. Rodgers who was with RCA records and this led to him being active in the music scene since the 1970s.

During his career he has performed with artists and bands that include The Brothers Johnson, Keni Burke, The Dazz Band, Roberta Flack, The Gap Band, Harmony Innocents, James Ingram, The Pointer Sisters, Billy Preston and Smokey Robinson among others.

Albums he has featured on include H.I. Naturally by Harmony Innocents, The Gap Band, Fire by The Pointer Sisters, Whole New Thing by Billy Preston and 1700 Miles from St. Louis by Lorenzo Pryor.

He received a scholarship at the Lee Strasberg Institite, where he studied acting, and in 2009 was the recipient of the F.R.E.D. Award for Faviourite Actor in a musical performance which was given to him for his role in Baby It’s You! The Musical.  In 2011 he made his debut on Broadway.  In 2016 he was a member of the cast of Heartbreak Hotel.
