Kadleck, Tony

He is a trumpeter, jazz conductor and composer raised in Binghamton, New York, who began to play the trumpet when he was in his 8th grade at school.  He spent his summers at an upstate music camp where he was a teacher and also went to college.  He took his studies at the New England Conservatory and the Manhattan School of Music.

From the 1980s he performed and appeared on recordings with the Boston Pops Orchestra and was invited to be a member of the Buddy Rich Band in 1986.

He relocated to New York in 1986 to take further studies and after his graduation he became a sought after touring and studio musician.  He has gone on to perform as a member of John Fedchock’s NY Big Band, the New York Pops, John Pizzarelli’s Swing Seven, Maria Schneider Jazz Orchestra and the Westchester Jazz Orchestra.  He is also on the faculty of the New York Summer Music Festival and a regular performer on Broadway productions.

During the course of his career he has performed with countless artists that include Tori Amos, Average White Band, Blood Sweat & Tears, David Byrne, Ron Carter, the Count Basie Orchestra, Dr. John, Faith No More, Ella Fitzgerald, Aretha Franklin, Dizzy Gillespie, Isaac Hayes, Michel Legrand, Liza Minnelli, Ann Murray, Mandy Patinkin, The Manhattan Transfer, David Sanborn, Carly Simon, Frank Sinatra, Steely Dan, Barbra Streisand, Livingston Taylor, Ultra Nate, Dawn Upshaw, Luther Vandross and Stevie Wonder.

His countless recordings include many TV and film soundtracks as well as commercial jingles.  He has also released his own CD Extended Outlook which comprises eight of his own compositions.
