Laffredo, Warren

Violist who has worked with the New York City Ballet, the New York City Opera, and the New York Pops.

On 13^th June 1982, he was the violist du jour in the world premiere of the third version of George Balanchine’s ballet set to “Elegie for Solo Viola” by Igor Stravinsky in the New York State Theater at Lincoln Center.

In the same venue, he performed viola in the New York City Opera’s revival of The Sound of Music by Oscar Hammerstein II and Richard Rodgers from 8^th March through 22^nd April 1990.

On 9^th May 1993, he was back with the New York City Ballet for performances of choreography by George Balanchine set to “Divertimento for Small Orchestra” by Alexei Haieff and “Symphonie concertante in E flat for Violin, Viola and Orchestra, K. 364” by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.

He was in the orchestra pits for another New York City Opera revival of The Student Prince by Sigmund Romberg from 9^th through 21^st November 1993.
