Mase, Raymond

He is a trumpeter who performs as an orchestral and chamber musician as well as a soloist.

He has performed with many orchestras including New York City Ballet Orchestra, Music Sacra and the New York Philharmonic.  As a soloist he has appeared with the Boston Pops, the Orpherus Chamber Orchestra, Summit Brass and has been a current member of the American Brass Quintet since 1973 and made over 30 recordings with them.

The composer Henri Lazarof wrote his Summit Concertante for him and it was premiered by Summit Brass.

As a teacher he is on the faculties of Aspen Music Festival and North Carolina School of the Arts and is the Chairman of the Brass Department at Juilliard School.  He has appeared on over 100 recordings to date.
