McLaren, Jennifer

She is a clarinettist and teacher who took her studies at London’s Royal College of Music.

In her professional career she has performed as a member of the London Symphony Orchestra, London Winds and the Philharmonia Orchestra in London where she has held the position of Principal E Flat Clarinet.

Her performance in the recording studio can be heard on Mozart Serenades by London Winds and Dreaming Man With Blue Suede Shoes by Colin Towns’ Mask Symphonic and she has been a musician in the orchestra for the opera Marianne Dreams by Andrew Law-Watson and appearing on the accompanying CD.

In the field of musical education she has on the faculty of the Guildhall School of Music where she teaches the E Flat Clarinet.  She has also visited other schools such as the James Allen Girls’ School where she has given individual lessons.
