Melouney, Vince (18th August 1945-Present)

He is a guitarist born in Sydney, Australia.

In 1963 he formed the band Vibratones with his friend John Watson and they then went on to form The Aztecs.  In 1965 he formed Vince & Tony’s Two with Tony Barber and later that year joined Tony Worsley & The Blue Jays.

In 1966 he formed the group The Vince Melouney Sect and following in that same year he became the official 5th member of the Bee Gees, playing lead guitar on their first three English albums.

After the left the band he produced and played for Ashton, Gardner & Dyke for a short time and then formed the hard rock supergroup Fanny Adams which disbanded in 1971.

Since then he has been musical director for the New Seekers, toured with John Paul Young and also written and produced music for the film and advertising industry in Sydney until 1990.
