Bassist and double-bassist who attended the Guildhall School of Music and Drama where he studied under Thomas Martin.

Groups with whom he has worked include the BBC Concert Orchestra, the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra, the English National Opera, the London Bach Orchestra, and the London Symphony Orchestra.

On 9^th and 11^th October 2011, the LSO joined forces with tenor Ian Bostridge, soprano Sabina Cvilak, the Eltham College Choir Trebles, baritone Simon Keenlyside and the London Symphony Chorus for a performance of Benjamin Britten’s War Requiem.

Mezzo-soprano Elina Garanca was the guest soloist of the LSO at Barbican Hall on 2^nd October 2012 for an evening of opera highlights that included “Mon Coeur s’ouvre a ta voix” from Samson et Delila by Camille Saint-Saens, “Plus grand, dans son obscurite” from La Reine de Saba by Charles Gounod, and “Yes, the time has come” from The Maid of Orleans by Peter Ilyich Tchaikovsky.

In the field of music education, Colin has taught at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. His students have included Dominic Bentham, Phil Donkin, Tom “Tillah” Farmer, Nathan Feddo, and Andrew Robb.

Recordings on which he appears include: Anthem, Bach to Brubeck, The Dust Bowl Symphony, Epiphany, John Adams: A Flowering Tree, Music of Hope, Night and Day, The Planets, and Symphony No. 1 Inspired by The Lord of the Rings by Johan de Meij with the LSO; Beautiful Dreamer by Benjamin Luxon; and, Classics of My Soul by Waldemar Bastos.
