Peterman, Jim

He is an organist, pianist and songwriter who was a member of the Steve Miller Band at the end of the 1960s.  He appeared with them when they supported Chuck Berry and appeared on the albums Children of the Future and Sailor, which he wrote the song “Lucky Man” for.  He left due to the pressures of touring and was replaced by Ben Sidran who was a friend of Steve Miller’s.

He later played the organ on two of the solo albums released by Ben Sidran and became a member of the Shane Pruitt Band.  He was also involved with the band Soup that was seen in concert by Jimi Hendrix.

Here he is on keyboards with the the Shane Pruitt Band performing “Loan Me a Dime”…
