Pohlman, Ray (22nd July 1930-1st November 1990)

Session bassist who recorded with a host of artists and groups including Ann-Margret, The Beach Boys, The Byrds, Glen Campbell, Sam Cooke, Duane Eddy, The Everly Brothers, The 5thDimension, Emmylou Harris, Jan & Dean, Billy May & His Orchestra, The Monkees, The Mystic Moods Orchestra, Rick Nelson, Nancy Sinatra, and The Turtles.

He was also active on the TV program Shindig! as a bandleader and musical director, and produced a pair of albums for The Association, including their Live album in 1970 and Stop Your Motor in 1971.

He passed away from heart failure in November 1990 when he was 60 years old.
