She is a flautist who studied at the Eastman School of Music who earned her MM in 1961 and was a Woodrow Wilson fellow during graduate school.
After venturing out on her musical career she became a member of the Omaha Symphony in 1964.
As a chamber musician she has performed with the Omaha Symphony Chamber Orchestra and been a promoter of the “Mostly Flutes” chamber music series. She has also been a performer with the Ross-Bircher Duo.
She has performed on many recordings that include The Ancient and the Infant by Ron Cooley, Christmas, A Fresh Aire Christmas, Christmas Celebration and 30/40 by Mannheim Steamroller, Wilderness and The Real McCall: An American Storyteller by C.W. McCall and Gaudete by Sol Deo Gloria Cantorum.
In the field of musical education she has been a faculty member as a teacher at the University of Nebraska at Omaha.
