Roundtree, Ben

He is a tubist, arranger and teacher born Benjamin Roundtree in Annandale, Virginia.  He studied at the University of Kentucky and George Mason University and has taken tuition with many acclaimed orchestrators, arrangers and tubists.

As a musician he has appeared with Tim Zimmerman & The King’s Brass, the Belmont Brass Quintet, the Capital Wind Symphony, the Dominion Brass, Saxton’s Cornet Band, Eurobrass, Lexington Brass Band and many of his arrangements have also been performed by several of these as well as the George Mason University Symphony Orchestra and several ensembles from the McLean Bible Church including the JuBellation Handbell Choir which featured in the 2002 White House Christmas Tours.

Recordings he and his arrangements have appeared on are Classic Hymns and Americana with Tim Zimmerman & The King’s Brass and Christmas ‘Round The Tree with the Belmont Brass.

In his work in musical education he has been a faculty member of the Csehy Summer School of Music and currently holds the position of the McLean Bible Church’s Assistant Director of Instrumental Music at its Creative Arts Ministry.
