Schubert, Karen

She is a horn player and teacher active on the East Coast of America who studied at the Curtis Institute of Music in the Class of 1994.

Her busy musical career has seen her performing as a soloist and/or member with many ensembles and orchestras including the Boston Brass, Bravo Brass, the Choral Arts Society, The Fairmont Brass Quartet, Opera Delaware, the Orchestra of the Prince Theater, The Philadelphia Singers and the Princeton Symphony Orchestra.

In the 2006/7 season she became performing the acting Principal Horn with the Opera Company of Phiadelphia and she has recently been the Principal Horn for Delaware Symphony Orchestra and Opera New Jersey and the Kennett Symphony and acting Principal Horn for the Chamber Orchestra of Philadelphia and.

In the field of musical education she has been on the faculties of Immaculata University, Philadelphia Biblical University, Temple University Music Prep Division and Wilmington Music School and has given private tuition from her own studio in North Wales, Pennsylvania.
