He is a double bass player, bass guitarist film maker and animator/illustrator who has been a performer with ensembles such as the Netherlands Radio Symphony and Philharmonic Orchestras and Orkest de Volharding. He is also involved with the music consortium Splendor Amsterdam, the new music ensemble Electra, the band The Brownies and the composer Louis Andriessen.
In 2002 he became a co-founder of Vinex Productions with the musician and composer Michael Van Dijk. He is the artist and animator for Vinex which is acclaimed for releasing “absurdistic” animated music films which are accompanied by live music. During the time they have been in business to date they have released 20 short films which have been shown all over the world. They have also released a book/DVD of their work.
In October 2002 his work was featured in the concert Passion: The Music of Louis Andriessen. In 2007 he appeared with the ensemble Combustion Chamber and the recording from the concert.
He has appeared on several albums during his career and a few of them include M is for Music, Man, Mozart by Louis Andriessen, (nothing beats) Cubic Inches by Combustion Chamber, Able to Be by Electra, The Minimalists by Terry Riley and Arsenal of Democracy by Julia Wolfe.
