Tinnefeld, Hans Joachim (1968-Present)

He is a double bass player who took his musical studies at the Academy of Arts in Berlin, Germany.

After venturing out on his professional career he attained the position of Principal Double Bass with the Wurttemberg Chamber Orchestra and the ORF Vienna Radio Symphony Orchestra.

In 2001 he became a member of the Vienna Symphony Orchestra as well as becoming a guest musician with several other orchestras that include the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra, the Berlin Philharmonic, the Chamber Orchestra of Europe, the London Symphony Orchestra, the Mahler Chamber Orchestra, the NDR Symphony Orchestra and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.

He has also held a close association with the Ensemble Modern and performed at the Salzburg Music Festival.

Recordings he has appeared on include Kurt Weill: Von Broadway Nach Berlin by Sara Musinowski.
