He is a bass, double bass, bass fiddle and bass viol player who was a member of the band Big Wheelie & The Hubcaps who came from Buffalo, New York.
After leaving them he has appeared with many bands and artists and on several recordings such as the 2000 New Coat of Paint: Songs of Tom Waits, the 1995 Sing Hollies in Reverse and G.I. Ay, Ay! by El Vez.
He relocated to Los Angeles and from the mid-1990s has been a member of the group Geraldine Fibbers and appeared on several of their recordings including What Part of “Get Thee Gone” Don’t You Understand? and Butch. In more recent years he has also been a member of the group Born in Death Valley.
