Whitehead, William (1938–2000)

Organist who attended Columbia University, the Curtis Institute of Music, and the University of Oklahoma.

He was the music director at Kirk in the Hills in Bloomfield, Michigan, and Fifth Avenue Presbyterian Church in New York, New York.

In the field of music education, he taught at Westminster Choir College, the Guilmant School, and Mannes College of Music.

Recordings on which he appears include:  Christmas Sing-AlongLeo Sowerby:  Symphony in G Major; and, A Two Organ Recital.
