Yeager, Bonnie

She is a violist and teacher who earned her Bachelor of Music and Master of Music in Viola Performance degrees at the Cleveland Institute of Music and also studied at the Interlochen Arts Academy.

She has performed as a member of the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra, the Elgin Symphony, the Milwaukee Ballet Orchestra, the Phoenix Symphony and as Principal Viola with the South Dakota Symphony.  She has also made appearances with orchestras that include the Chicago Opera Theater, Chicago Philharmonic, Chicago Sinfonietta, the Cleveland Orchestra, Madison Symphony, the Milwaukee Symphony and Toledo Symphony.

As a chamber musician she has given many performance and recitals with groups that include the Dakota String Quartet, Octagon and The Skyline Quartet and been involved in the debut of the STEAM chamber series for schools and outreach events.

In the field of musical education she is a Suzuki Method trained teacher and has taught in many community music programs in the El Sistema USA movement.  She runs her own Yeager String Studio with violin and viola lessons and programmes.
