Angels, The

Girl group formed in Orange, New Jersey, in 1961 who were originally known as The Blue Angels and the members had previously been with The Starlets.

Their major hit was “My Boyfriend’s Back” in 1963 and they also sang backing vocals for stars such as Neil Diamond, Jackie Wilson, Frankie Valli, Frank Sinatra, and on the No.1 single “Lightnin’ Strikes” by Lou Christie.

In 2005 they were inducted into the Vocal Group Hall of Fame and they still perform along the East Coast occasionally today.
