Eroica Trio

This trio was established around 1987 and was made up of members that were childhood friends and trained at the Juilliard School.  They named themselves after Beethoven’s Eroica Symphony.

In 1991 they won the Naumberg Award which led to their Lincoln Center debut and have since become acclaimed for their performances.  They have appeared with many of the world’s major orchestras including the Prague Chamber Orchestra, the Haydn Orchestra, Chicago Symphony Orchestra and the Munich Symphony.

They were the official representative for Carnegie Hall in 1997 and in November 2001 they had their commissioned triple concerto, by the composer Kevin Kaska, premiered by the Saint Louis Symphony Orchestra.

Their recordings have been extremely successful and have received many Grammy Award nominations as well as winning the NPR’s Performance Today“Debut Recording of the Year” Award  for Eroica Trio.
