With Adrian Chandler being the director, they became established and are now known for their specialist performance of works of Italian Baroque composers.

They have appeared at many music festivals in the United Kingdom,Europe and South America and have made several appearances on BBC Radio 3 programmes.

They recorded their first CD in 2003 which received many good reviews from various publications and their 2006 release was chosen for Editor’s Choice in Gramophone Magazine.  Their recording of Volumes 1 & 2 of The Rise of the Northern Italian Violin Concerto 1690-1740 saw them being nominated for two Gramphone Awards.
