Robert Shaw Chamber Singers

The conductor Robert Shaw formed this ensemble largely from members of the Atlanta Symphony Chamber Chorus, which he led when he was the conductor of the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra & Chorus.  Additional singers came from his French summer workshops’ the Robert Shaw Festival Singers.  Becoming an acclaimed choir in their own right they based themselves at the Spivey Hall in Atlanta and performed non-orchestral concerts on a regular basis.

Together they have recorded albums, which include Gloria! – Music of Praise and Inspiration, O Magnum Mysterium, A Robert Shaw Christmas: Angels on High, Schubert: Songs for Male Chorus and Songs of Angels: Christmas Hymns & Carols.
