All for the Love of Sunshine

(Lalo Schifrin)

“All for the Love of Sunshine” is a song written by Lalo Schifrin for the 1970 film Kelly’s Heroes and performed by Hank Williams, Jr. and the Mike Curb Congregation.  There is also a harmonica version on the soundtrack.

Schifrin recorded this version for Verve on 18th September 1970 at Hollywood’s TTG Recording Studio.  Ten years later, he re-used the song in his score for the Robert Redford film Brubaker.  It also appears on The Reel Lalo Schifrin, released on 11th August 1998, on Hip-O Records.
