Buglers Holiday

(Leroy Anderson)

This piece was composed in 1954 at Grassy Hill, Woodbury, Connecticut, and has been described as “triumphant, exciting and overly enthusiastic”.  It features a trumpet trio in a military style and begins with a fanfare.  The television programme Breakfast Time, which featured various well-known cartoon characters, used this piece as their theme tune.
