Concerto da Camera No. 2 in C Sharp Minor, Op. 10 (Alkan)

This piece was composed as one of two Concerti da Camera written for solo piano and is thought to be an early work possibly first performed around 1832.  It is described as a miniature concerto and is dedicated to Alkan’s Conservatoire tutor and friend, Joseph Zimmerman.   The concerto is approximately nine minutes long and comprises three movements:

(i)                  Allegro moderato
(ii)                Adagio
(iii)               Tempo 1
