Desert Victory

This film score, composed by William Alwyn, was released in Great Britain in 1943 for this Academy Award winner that was also known as Battle For North Africa.  It was a production by the British Ministry of Information and tells the story of Field Marshal Montgomery’s victory at El Alamein against General Rommel using much newsreel footage that was captured from the Germans.  Movements in this score include:
