Song written by Ralph Siegel and Bernd Meinunger as the German entry for the 1979 Eurovision Song Contest under the name “Dschinghis Khan”.  It came 4^th in the competition.

The song’s album went gold and platinum in over 20 countries outside of Germany and has often appeared in the Eurovision Song Contest commemorative CDs.  This version is arranged and conducted by Norbert Daum.

The song was played at New York Rangers games every time a goal was scored by Petr Prucha.
