High Chaparral

(David Rose)

Theme song to the TV western of the same name, which enjoyed a brief run from 1967 to 1971.  Rose and High Chaparral creator David Dotort had also worked together on Bonanza.  With lyrics by Dotort and Joe Lubin, it is also known as “All For You”.  In its more common instrumental incarnation, it appears on several TV western compilations and has been covered by Mario Cavallero and His Orchestra, Nic Raine and the City of Prague Philharmonic , Billy Strange, and The Wild Bunch Orchestra.
