Written by Jim Stafford, this is the Flip side to his “I Got Stoned and I Missed It”, from the 1975 album, Not Just Another Pretty Foot. Ostensibly a parody of a blues-rock song, and the title pretty much says it all. Don’t adjust your turntable speed: That’s Jim Stafford doing what he must have considered a funny voice. The music is standard stuff: a blues verse quickly gives way to a boogie-woogie chorus and Jim even manages to work in an homage to (or rip-off of) “Get a Job”.
