Isle of Apples, The

(Richard Addinsell)

This miniature written by Richard Addinesell is described as a “reflective idyll of the English pastoral tradition” and seen as a mystery as the composer never registered it and nor did his musical executor. It is thought that it may have been written after 1965 and it was found enclosed within another work.  Although the rough score had markings by a conductor on it, and is deemed a concert work, it is not thought it was ever performed.
