Keep It Comin’ Love

(Harry Wayne Casey/Richard Finch)

This song was written by Richard Finch and Harry Wayne Casey who was the “KC” of KC & The Sunshine Band.

It’s a disco song in keeping with the era and incorporates rhythms that could be associated with Latin America and the Caribbean and ones that Harry Casey would have been very aware of in his home state of Florida. It also has lyrics that contain many innuendos which, in turn, found it gaining attention and popularity.

It was released in 1977 by KC & The Sunshine Band as the successor to their chart hit “That’s The Way (I Like It)”.  It rose to No. 1 on the Hot Soul Singles Chart, No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 and No. 31 on the UK Singles Chart.

It was included as a song on KC & The Sunshine Band’s 1976 album Part 3 and appeared in several movies such as Blow, Freak Out, Private Parts and Wedding Crashers.  A version of it was also performed by the group K.W.S. on their album of the same name.
