Leave the Cryin’ to Me

(Ben Raleigh/Mark Barkan)

Written by Ben Raleigh and Mark Barkan, this is one of the happiest songs ever about an emotionally devastating break-up, thanks to upbeat arrangement of Jimmy Wisner and Joe Rene’s wall-of-sound-like production, that borrows more than a little of its melody from Nicolai Rimsky-Korsakov’s “The Young Prince and Princess” from Scheherazade.  Christopher Robbins’ vocals virtually assure us from the get-go that the crying will soon pass.
