Merci Cherie

(T. Horbiger/Udo Jurgens)

Song written by T. Horbiger and Udo Jurgens that was the only Austrian entry ever to win the Eurovision Song Contest, when it was performed by Udo Jurgens in 1966.  Although the title is French, the original lyrics were in German.  It appears on several Jurgens albums, including Udo Jurgens:  Der Solo-Abend.  It has also been covered by Bobby Darin, Paul Mauriat, and Matt Monro, and mostly recently by Belinda Carlisle on her 2007 release, Voila.
