Windy

(Ruthann Friedmann)

Song written by Ruthann Friedmann in 1967 while she was living in David Crosby’s spare room in Beverly Glenn Canyon.  It was the second single to reach No.1 in the US for The Association.  An instrumental version of it was recorded by the jazz guitarist, Wes Montgomery, in 1967 which became his highest Top 100 hit at No. 44.  It is No.61 on the Top 100 most played songs on the radio.
