Faber, Ardis

She is a trumpeter, conductor, music director, arranger and teacher who studied at the Northwestern University and Grand Valley State University.

Having performed with many orchestras and ensembles she has been heard as a member of Tim Zimmerman & The King’s Brass, who she has also arranged many works for, and the Grand Rapids Symphony Orchestra and as Principal Trumpet with the Grand Rapids Chamber Winds and the Kent Philharmonic Orchestra.

Her conducting skills have been used to lead orchestras at several music festivals, the King’s Brass , the Grace Community Orchestra, the Community Festival Chorus and the Grace College Chamber Singers and Ensemble, with whom she has toured extensively to South Korea, Germany and throughout the United States.  As a Music Director she has been involved in countless Grace College events such as Homecoming and Spring musical productions.  She has also served as the conductor for the New World Symphony Concert Orchestra based in Indianapolis.

In the field of musical education she has Associate Professor of Music – Head of Music Education Area and Vocal Education Area at Grace College, Indiana and in 2010 received her Doctoral Arts degree in Musical Education and Orchestral Conducting at Ball State University and served as the Assistant Conductor for their symphony orchestra.  She is the owner and lead instructor of Northern Lakes Music School at Winona Lake, Indiana.
