He is a Mexican drummer who was an original member of Jimmy Buffett’s Coral Reefer Band in the mid 1970s. He has since worked with many, many other artists such as Howard Kalish, George Strait , The Ace in the Hole Band, Don Walser, Jimmy Carl Black and Tommy Cole.
Albums he has appeared on during the course of his career include Rancho Deluxe and Havana Daydreamin’ by Jimmy Buffett , Love is Just a Game and Oh! Brother by Larry Gatlin & The Gatlin Brothers Band, Ocean Front Property by George Strait , What the Hey by Howard Kalish, Blue Skies by Milton Carroll, Employee of the Month by Austin Lounge Lizards, Reprise Please Baby: The Warner Bros. Years by Dwight Yoakam, Texas: A Musical Celebration 150 Years and Pearls in the Snow: The Songs of Kinky Friedman.
He survived a brain tumour and returned to drumming just a few months later.
