Outram, Rebecca

She is a soprano and pianist born in England who studied at Oxford and the Guildhall School of Music in London. While at Oxford she played the piano before becoming a member of the Keble College chapel choir and from then she concentrated more on her singing voice.

In her professional career she has performed as a soloist and group member with many British orchestras and period ensembles including, Oxford Camerata, the Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, Manchester Camerata, Martin Best Consort, Gabrieli Consort, The Sixteen, the Choir of St. Paul’s Cathedral and King’s Consort and was a co-founder of The Cardinall’s Music and The Clerk’s Group.

Her work has taken her all over the world to perform in concerts and she has appeared at many music festivals in England and Europe.  Working with the broadcasting industry she has appeared on BBC Radio 3 in Handel’s “Ode for the Birthday of Queen Anne” and she has been heard of many recordings including Forgotten Provence with the Martin Best Consort, Art & Music: Rembrandt – Music of his Time and Weelkes: Anthem with Oxford Camerata, The Faerie Queen with Accademia Bizantina, Monteverdi: 1610 Vespers with the King’s Consort, Bach: Motets with the Hilliard Ensemble and A Golden Age of Portuguese Music with The Sixteen.
