Gibson, Patrick (19??-4th April 2020)

He was a singer, guitarist and keyboard player born Patrick Francfort in Martinique, West Indies, and the brother of Chris and Alex Francfort/Gibson.

They formed the band Gibson Brothers in around 1976 and cut their first single “Come to America” in 1976 which was successful in Europe.  Their next single was their first million-seller in Europe.  Although not popular in the US, they met with much more success in the European scene.

Although disco music essentially collapsed in 1980, the brothers continued to tour and release discs.

He released the solo albums Talking to Myself and X.

He died in April 2020 from the COVID-19 virus.
